Living Quarters Project Engineer

Key Accountabilities:

During Execute, the Project Engineer will be expected to work under the direction of Delivery Managers to:

  • Provide HSSE Leadership to the project in accordance with the Upstream Safety Leadership Principles, GPO Personal Safety and Contractor HSSE management guides.
  • Participate in the development of effective internal interfaces between HSSE, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Quality, GWO, M&S and Operations teams.
  • Participate in the development of effective and collaborative external interfaces between CLIENT , Engineering Contractor, Drilling, Topsides and LQ Fabricators and other major contractors across the project.
  • Lead development and implementation of initiatives in accordance with the project Modernisation and Transformation objectives, including implementation of agile working practices and collaborative contracting principles.
  • Ensure that lessons learned are appropriately considered in the design and construction of the LQ Modules.
  • Support Risk and Opportunity management process
  • Review and update of key project management documentations as the project progresses
  • Coordinate timely CPI information providing between KBR and AE.
  • Oversee key areas of work during topsides engineering and fabrication phases of the project as directed by the delivery line
  • Support the Design, Constructability, Operability Review meetings with all parties involved.
  • Work closely with the project teams to develop cost savings and increase project value
  • Drive the project progress toward , to meet all  Schedule milestones

During the Execute phase, the Project Engineer will be expected to support delivery team in key areas of scope, in accordance with GPO performance management guidelines and collaborative contracting principles, and ensure that the key project objectives relating to safety, quality, cost and schedule are all met.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

  • Strong HSSE bias and experience influencing front-line HSSE issues,
  • Demonstrate behaviours which promote a safe and environmentally responsible work process in all aspects of the job, Experience of influencing or providing leadership within successful, high-performing teams,
  • Proven experience of effectively interfacing and working together with fabrication contractors and with multi-discipline teams.
  • Familiar with CLIENT  practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity through construction and commissioning,
  • A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Experience of project management across the project life-cycle, from engineering to operation
  • Familiar with CLIENT  Management of Change process
  • Ensure that technical queries are responded
  • Coordinate Document review process, comments /approvals provided in timely manner.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Team leadership roles and participation on high-impact teams.
  • Relevant experience working within collaborative contracting environments,
  • Relevant experience working with GPO risk management practices, including the development of risk action plans for potential high consequence risks,
  • Previous experience with CLIENT  completions systems and processes, Data analytics skills, and an ability to work with tools such as Power BI, PMSC  to enhance and improve performance management
